Blog Tour for Point of Submission by Remy Landon

TITLE: POINT OF SUBMISSION
AUTHOR: REMY LANDON
RELEASE DATE: MAY 27

Cassandra Larsen is not the type to give in. But Carlo Leone is not the type to give up. The 27 year old CEO of a prominent industrial company, Carlo is rich. Powerful. And devastatingly handsome. Tragic events in his past have caused him to be guarded, to view women as playthings in a provocative game he and his colleague created. When Carlo meets 21 year old Cassandra at the horse stable he owns, he is instantly drawn to her beauty and feisty nature, but beneath her spunk, there is vulnerability and want. She will be a challenge--a perfect candidate for the contest.

Wary of relationships due to her rocky history, Cassandra is determined to resist Carlo’s smoldering eyes and maddening charm. Will she surrender? And will Carlo discover that this has become more than just a game--before it’s too late?

 My 4 star review:

It was the contradictions he saw in her: the feisty attitude juxtaposed with the wariness, the confidence opposite the vulnerability.
Most of all, it was the challenge. He’d known from the moment they met.
There were three words: I found one

Carlo Leone, a CEO who is rich and powerful and extremely attractive.  At 27 years old he has all he could want. The things that thrill him the most are the games he and his coworker play with women they meet. He is a love them and leave them kinda guy. He has his reasons and that is why he keeps his feelings and his heart guarded. When he meets the beautiful yet feisty Cassandra, he finds himself drawn to her. He also loves that she is a challenge for him, which for him, makes her perfect for his little game.

The pattern was always the same with this type of woman: at first, defiant resistance...softening into mild protests, which grew few and far between...drifting into meek hesitation...and then finally, the point of submission.

Cassandra Larsen has been burned before, she doesn’t trust easily. When she meets Carlos everything in her tells her to run the other way, but there is something about him that draws him to her. Aside from his looks, he is smart, charming and determined but she also sees a haunting pain in his eyes, something she knows he keeps hidden.

“But you can hide what you’re thinking.” She hesitated and then spoke soflty. “What are you hiding in here, Carlo?” His eyes were closed as his breathing began to quicken. Her hand moved down to his chest. She flattened her fingers over his heart. “And in here?”

While taking things slow, Carlos does all he can to win Cassandra over while Cassandra does her best to resist him. Carlos finds himself wanting more with Cassandra and this causes him to push her away.

Cassandra finds herself wanting more with Carlos and is ready to give whatever is happening between them a chance.

When Carlos is betrayed by someone close to him, he faces the fact that he is about to lose the one thing he was never expecting. He realizes that things have become more than a game to him and little does he know, it may be too late.

I really enjoyed this book even though it left me having more questions than answers. Who hurt him in the past? Why is he so guarded?  Why the games?

Remy Landon wrote a fun, sexy, mysterious and yet frustrating story. The characters are great and very loveable; there are also a few characters you love to hate.
I was really really getting into this book and then it just ended! I yelled at my kindle!  With that being said, this ends in a cliffy and I CANNOT WAIT to see what happens next. I have a feeling it will be filled with heartache, angst and groveling.

A great read, I will definitely be recommending this one!

A sexy little EXCERPT:

Carlo firmly gripped her shoulders, backed her up against the brick wall and pressed himself against her, his lips on her neck. She shivered, her hands climbing to rest on his broad chest. He quickly took them and folded her arms behind her, placing her hands firmly at her back. “I've wanted to back you up against a wall since the moment I saw you,” he murmured, in between kissing her neck. “Back you up—hold you still—do whatever I want to you.”
Christ. A tiny moan worked its way out of Cassandra's mouth. He silenced her with a kiss, sliding his warm tongue between her lips and grinding his pelvis against her. She could feel his erection through his jeans, and she was filled with the need to touch him, feel his smooth, hard cock in her hand and guide it inside her. She tried to pull her hands from his, but his grip was tight, and he chuckled softly. “Someone's impatient.”
Cassandra felt the throbbing between her legs intensify. She ached for him to slip his fingers inside her. The doubt and worry cloaking their relationship had lifted, and in its place were want and need, rushing through her like a river, pouring into the pockets of loneliness inside her and filling her up.

As a child, Remy was an avid reader and writer, bringing stacks of books everywhere she went and scribbling stories in a thick spiral notebook.

She heard somewhere that you should have a career based on what you loved to do when you were 10, and she would love nothing more than to follow that advice.
