And you thought the hardest part of freshman year was scheduling...

Sunny McCormick is in love with love. She's cute, romantic and convinced her Prince Charming is out there somewhere.

Grace McCarrion has never been in love. She's shy, reserved and her own worst critic.

Claudia Mansour isn't sure she believes in love. She's confident, beautiful and hard to impress.

They've decided to go against the grain and, rather than pledge the Greek system at the University of Illinois, create an unofficial sorority of their own.

This is their story. The ups and downs, the trials and tribulations, the romance and heartbreak.

                                                        Welcome to freshman year.

                      My 5 Star Review
I adored this book. Without summarizing too much it is about three best friends, all beautiful and smart, entering their first year of college. Living in the dorm rooms and deciding not to pledge with a sorority.
First you have Sunny the romantic one. The one who believes in finding true love and wants so desperately to have that happily ever after.
Next you have Grace. She is super shy and like most of us, her own worst critic. She is always doubting herself and is clueless when it comes to guys.
Last but not least there is Claudia. Confident and not so sure she believes in love.
This story follows all three of them, their highs and their lows, their successes and their failures.
My Thoughts:
I loved how different all three of these women are. You have Sunny who is the helpless romantic one but also doesn’t have a problem meeting men. But it is meeting the right man. Then there is Grace who is as green as they come when it comes to guys and so unsure of herself and the few guys she has had crushes on just didn’t work out. Last you have Claudia who is strong and doesn’t take crap from anyone. She tells you like it is.
Aside from their academics, each of these ladies has their own unique journey. While they are each trying to figure out who they are and what they want, their journeys are eye opening and so enduring.
For Sunny, finding love is all she wants. When she finally meets the one, the timing is off.  The road to love is never an easy one and Sunny learns the hard way that white knights can fall from their horses and that happily ever after’s  aren’t necessarily happy. With the love and support of her friends. She is able to make it through the heartache’s and confusion.
I adored Grace and her innocence. All she really wants is that magical first kiss. Although she was confident without knowing it, that is what made her so loveable especially when it comes to the men that are interested in her. I loved her love for movies and the references she quotes from them. With the advice from her friends, she is able to gain the confidence she has always had but is just discovering.
Last there is Claudia. Her strength just amazed me. She finds her happiness when she least expects it and she also learns a lot about who she is and it scares her but not knowing if her friends will understand her choices downright frightens the beejeezus out of her.
Melissa Brown has captured those first time feelings. I fell in love with all three girls. Life is hard and when you start college, you are learning to become an independent adult. Trying to figure out what you want to do with your life, who you want to become as a person.  Of course there are growing pains along the way, struggles, heartaches and fights but these are also the things that shape us as people. These are the things we endure on the road of life.
This book is about the bonds of friendship and how much things can change for the better and how much stronger that bond becomes because of life. It is about self-discovery. This is a story that your best girlfriends should read.
Thank you Melissa for an amazing journey into the lives of three beautiful strong young women. I can’t wait to see what is in store for these three ladies in their sophomore year.
