Rock My Body is the fourth and final book in the Black Falcon series and focuses on the Black Falcon bassist, Tyke Douglas.
About Rock My Body
Tyke Douglas is tired of being the glue that holds the hottest band in the world together. If the rest of the guys are out doing their own thing, then why shouldn’t he? He’s about to turn things up a notch and bring a whole new level of crazy into Black Falcon’s world.
Francine Mead is putting her sordid past behind her and is determined to help others overcome their demons alongside her. The first step in her new life is taking a job as an addiction counselor, where she can mentor others through their struggles. Francine never expected to be lured back into temptation when her first sexy celebrity client, Tyke Douglas walks through her door. The moment she lays eyes on him, she’s in trouble.
Both Tyke and Francine know a relationship between them would be a disaster, but with each session, things continue to heat up, making it impossible to deny the connection they share. Boundaries cross, attractions heighten and both of their willpower's will be tested to the very limit.
My 4.5 Star Review
I am heartbroken as I write this review. This is the LAST
story in the Black Falcon series.
All I have to say is TYKE!! This man stole, broke and mended
my heart.
Tyke watched all his band mates find happiness with their
women. In a way this was a downfall for him, he thought that for all of them,
the band and the music was their true happiness. He is tired of doing all the
writing for the band and he feels like he has held this band together. While
they are all off doing their thing, he is working on songs. He is done, so he
decides to do his own thing and let go, besides, what’s the harm in a little
recreational drugs here, a few RX pills there and some alcohol? Well it ends up
with blackouts, missed meetings and very concerned and worried band members and
family. If he continues down this path of destruction, they fear it will kill
him. The band gives him no choice and sends him to a place that will help him
get better.
It is never easy when you lose someone you love. Everyone
deals with loss differently and for Francine, well let’s just say she has
struggled through her own addiction. She worked her tail off and has become an
addiction counselor. She feels that with her personal and professional
knowledge, she will be able to mentor others and help them work through their
struggles. Excited to start her new journey in life Francine is excited to meet
her patients but the last thing she expected was Tyke Douglas. He is everything
she has worked hard to avoid and the moment she sees him, she realizes she is
in trouble.
Tyke denies that he has an addiction problem and hates the
fact he is where he is but when he sees his counselor, he figures his stay may
just be worth his while. Tyke has a new addiction and that is Francine.
Franny does a great job at keeping things professional
between them. Tyke realizes just how much he needs her and her advice. He has
never been good at communication but there is something about Franny that makes
him want to be a better person. He wants to be able to communicate, but the
thing she makes him sees the most is how much he needs her in his life. With
her, he feels something he has never felt before and that is COMPLETE.
Although Tyke and Franny know the risk, their attraction to
one another is irresistible and session after session, their chemistry gets
explosive. Once they cross that line, there is no going back. When their new
found secret relationship is put to test after test, will they revert back to
their old ways or fight for their future they have both worked so hard for?
TYKE TYKE TYKE…I loved his craziness and my heart just broke
for him. In a way he had tunnel vision of what was going on. I admired his
persistence, his view on things when he found clarity. Unfortunately people
have to hit rock bottom before they can make those positive changes to come
back out better and on top and this is the unfortunate path that Tyke has
taken. I loved how he was able to communicate through music it was
heartbreaking but beautiful. I loved how he came to terms with all he had done
wrong and realized his triggers. It takes strength to deal with things like
this and then to deal with those you’ve hurt along the way.
Franny was a great character as well and perfect for Tyke.
They were meant to be together. I felt for her and her loss. She like Tyke went
down a path of destruction and she was able to see her problem and got help and
then decided to help others. Her profession she chose was perfect.
Tyke and Franny saved each other, they helped each other and
most importantly. They healed each other.
Like all of the Black Falcon men we love, when they fall,
they fall hard and they fall fast and Tyke is no acceptation.
This book was such a wonderful read… the tragedy, struggles,
heartache, laughter, tears, angst (oh the freaking angst) sexiness and a little
bit of suspense. Of course the AMAZING ROMANCE and HOT HOT HOT scenes
